Siberian Orthopaedic Forum 2026

From July 3 to 4, the Siberian Orthopaedic Forum 2026 took place in Novosibirsk. This large-scale professional event brought together leading trauma surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, and neurosurgeons from 30 regions of Russia and 9 countries. The forum was dedicated to a significant milestone for the region—the 80th anniversary of the Ya. L. Tsivyan Novosibirsk Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics (NIITO).

The scientific program focused on key topics in traumatology, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spine surgery, intensive care, and rehabilitation.

Priority areas included the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in surgical planning, modern approaches to limb reconstruction, advances in arthroscopy, pediatric orthopaedics and spine surgery, as well as the evolution of medical rehabilitation practices.

The program combined scientific sessions with hands-on educational formats, including expert lectures, masterclasses, panel discussions, and an industry exhibition.

On July 2, pre-course workshops on spinal surgery and osteosynthesis were held at the NIITO facilities.

The official ceremony celebrating the institute's 80th anniversary took place on the evening of July 3 at the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

At the UMed exhibition booth, visitors were introduced to the company's latest innovation—the Bylina SLM cementless femoral stem.

In addition, the company showcased the Waston UBE system for Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy (UBE), a minimally invasive technique for spinal surgery, for the first time.

The exhibition also featured product portfolios from Medo, Waston, ChunLi, Meril, Anatomica, and Smith+Nephew, covering solutions for traumatology, joint replacement, and arthroscopy.
